Day 15
Wow! time flies when your having fun (or when your busy), can I just say that the amount of paper work that you have to do as a student teacher is crazy insane(which I am avoiding by writing this post) and most of it seems useless, anyway I will get off my soap box, yesterday I got observed and got feed back from my professor and my mentor teacher I wrote it down in my notebook but I know how I am about papers and keeping track of them so if I have here as well then when I forget I can come back and take a look. Also I am going to be a little more detailed in my explanation here so that I don't have to remember all that I did in the lesson and why I got the feedback I did and how to use it in the next lesson. Now that I have went on for ever now here is the feedback that I got.
- the question you ask are to general (any questions) this is something that is easy to do but should not be done at all
- engage the students more often
- ask more questions in general but not general questions
- more engaging slides the example first then ask the question and then show the answer
- be upfront with the objectives the why we are learning this even with just in time learning
- this is an idea but a sign up/job chart for the groups
- use follow up questions for the camera angles
- think pair share for questions
- activities to engage them
